First Annual IW EOS Up In Smoke BBQ extravaganza.
This party has been spearheaded by one of our guests,
who has dreamed of opening his own BBQ joint
called "Marv's Up In Smoke BBQ". We are making
that dream a reality for one day and you are invited!
Marv's vision is to bring the community together to
celebrate the beauty of the connections we have built
during our first year at the shelter.
Please join us starting at 3pm in the parking lot of First Christian Church. 701 Franklin St. SE.
There will be:
A theater performance "Mama I didn't Mean to Burn the Cornbread" written by Marv himself!
Karaoke! An instrument solo contest!
A unicyclist! Nail salon! Face Painting!
Staff Appreciation Awards! Door Prizes!
A Fashion Show! Karen's Kid's Korner!
A Memorial for street people that we have lost in 2015!
And of course.... tons of BBQ from Marv himself!
This party is the first of it's kind and as always we couldn't do it without the help of so many of you out there. HUGE Thank you to our amazing volunteers who are stepping up and finding us donations to make this event possible. We hope you will join us for food, fun, community and a night for the history books! Drop in at any time throughout the night and say hello!
